Therapod Chairs

Therapod chairs can be specifically set up to suit the back shape of each individual user and is ideal for sufferers of pre-existing back pain or as a preventive weapon against poor posture. Chairs listed use Ergo mechanisms which can be used by individuals up to 100Kg. The Contemporary Chair is best suited to those who require a larger chair with more generous dimensions and upholstery. If an individual weighs from 100 - 200Kgs, it will be necessary to fit the premium synchron mechanism – see end of this section.

The Standard Fabrics are Rave Techno (Black) or Rave Culture (Blue). If you wish to use different fabrics, or further customize of the chair, please phone to discuss your requirements.

FORCE 275 Heavy duty chair from Therapod

This chair was designed, engineered and manufactured by Therapod to provide a basic office chair with a capacity of 275 kilograms.

To maintain its functional integrity, it is heavily reinforced and only has gas lift and back tilt functions. It has a heavy duty polished aluminium base, 70mm castors, reinforced gas spring, dual seat foam, optional polished “T” style arms with a low back.

IT+ Ergonomic Chairs

The new Therapod chair range ‘I T +’ utilizes new seating technology with a cushion Therapod have designed and called ‘Comfort Plus’. The name says it all – and independent pressure mapping has proved that the ‘IT’ bones have never had it so good!

What this means is that correct postsure is maximized, with the pelvis positioned comfortably during extended periods of sitting. Good lumbar support.

All chairs come with 3 lever ergo mechanism, twin wheel castors and 5 star black base.

Pressure mapping reveals no ‘hot spots’ on the IT+.

Using the Active Balance Seat:
The range of movement is controlled by tightening or loosening the carriage bolt assembly, with NO weight bearing on the seat.
Tightening compresses the rubber discs and the range of movement becomes more limited, and vice versa. Three locking casters enable you to stop the seat from moving.

Recommendations:
Initially set the chair to a small range of motion by tightening the disc system; then gradually add movement to meet your comfort level.
• It is recommended to gradually transition from traditional static seating to this new form of dynamic seating. Start out with sessions of maybe 10-20 minutes at a time.
• Consult with your health professional before using the chair if you have any physical problems or health conditions.
• Stop using the chair if you experience pain or discomfort and consult your doctor immediately.
• This chair should only be used on a stable level surface.

Warranty:
To the original purchaser that it is free from defect in material and workmanship under normal use for two (2) years from the date of purchase.
Normal use is described as wear and tear which occurs during a normal eight hour workday.
